Take Action: Contact Interior Secretary Zinke

Please urge Interior Secretary Zinke to immediately restore Endangered Species Act protections to Yellowstone grizzlies and stop the bear hunt in Wyoming and Idaho.

The threatened Yellowstone grizzly bear has not yet recovered, and needs continued protection to survive in the face of an unraveling ecosystem caused by climate change, disease and invasive species.

Take Action: Write or Call Our Representatives

Write or Call the Wyoming Office of Tourism, Wyoming Chamber of Commerce, Governor of Wyoming, The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission and the Director of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. STAY INVOLVED!

Wyoming Representative Liz Cheney

Representative Liz Cheney (R Wyoming) introduced a stand-alone bill in the House designed to strip ESA protections for Yellowstone grizzly bears. The bill is titled the Grizzly Bear State Management Act. As Cheney states in an official press release, “the Act directs the Department of the Interior to re-issue its delisting decision and prohibits further judicial review of this decision.” She initially attempted to introduce this legislation as an amendment to an existing House bill that would strip gray wolves of federal protections, but then resorted to a stand-alone bill when it was determined that her amendment was ‘not germane’ to the legislation she was attempting to parasitize.

Call 307-772-2595.  Ask Congresswoman Liz Cheney to stand up and protect the grizzly bear!
